The colour scheme we agreed on at the beginning of thinking about colours and the CD covers was black, red and white and i think this is a good choice. This idea came from having the idea of black and white or grey just with one extra colour, this is because it then makes it simple yet it can make certain elements stand out if we want them to.
As i am now considering to start making the mock-ups of the CD covers i have had a look at a few real ones with this colour scheme to see what they look like, i have done this just by typing 'Red, black and white album covers' into google images, the reason for this is because i didn't just want to limit it to artist that i knew, here are a few of what i found;
As you can see from these all of their colour schemes are the same yet they all look different, i think my favourite one is the top left one which is by 'Kings of Leon' the reason for this being my favourite is because it looks artistic and is creative, there are not loads of CD covers out there that look like this, however for my cover i think i want to include a picture of the artist like the three on the right, i want her to be looking at the camera is my first thought but then i will need to experiment with these. I also need to consider ideas for obviously inside the CD case because there is always a back page to it and usually something on the inside so these are something i will need to do research into before thinking about the picture used, yet the colour scheme will be the same throughout.
