Mise- En- Scene

Location Room: Our first possible location for the music video and some scene will be a plain white or black room dependant on which is more avalible and easier to find. This will be for the opening scene of the video where our artist will be sitting alone with a guitar on a stool, this setting has be took from inspiration from the analysed Adele video. Dressing the set will include the plain white interior, maybe coloured cloth hanging from the walls, a stool situated in the middle of the room and possible furnitues to suggest a bedroom or dinning room. The props are significantly the furniture and guitar. Possible furniture we could include are chester draws and/or a mirror. Lighting throughout the scenes and music video will mainly be focused on the artist herself with shadows against the plain walls, to give an empty but thoughful effect.

Location Street:
As the lyrics of the song 'Fast Car' that we are using are in our music video in in relation to a car and traveling i considered focusing on a scene in a street, one in the car driving down a main town city street, and another the artist walking down a run down council estate street. For the first street location it will be difficault to include props as we will mainly just be choosing the likabilty and relevance of the natural look upon the street, all we can really include are people as props. The type of people will vary from both street scenes as we will take into consideration the wealth and social class, along with the stereotyppical looks of the people, however the scene in the car will include more placed props and only people on the street for a background image. The props in the car will include a guitar on the backseat. We will not really be able to adjust the lighting on the street as it is natural but we will aim to shoot on sunny days in midday for most the scene, however according to the lyric it may be for appropriate to set the scene in the night time or even rain, for example a raining dull day shott may relate to a sad moment or lyrics.

Location Concert:
I think that this scene will be the hardest out of the lot to shoot, as we will need alot of people in a dark huge room, with a stage. The possibilites of this location mainly could be the school main hall, however we still have the possible problem of gathering around a hundred people in the main room for a 'concert' scene. To make this a little easier we could change the scene to be accomidating to the resources and change the scene to the artist alone again in a room, however on the stage singing alone saddened and struggling with maybe writting the song. Lighting again will be just focusing on the artsit, a white light for brightness and a clear effect. The props will include a piano miscro phone and stand and a guitar with a chair. A backdrop could be included. Maybe even a scene relating to this with a shot of the designed tour poster i have completes on the floor in the rain showing that things arnt goiing good and that the artist is sad.

Location Park:
Now this scene doesnt really relate to the song itself, however the lyrics explain how he wants to get away with someone, we could interprit this as her boyfrien. Now i thought of the park scene as i have seen in other meaningful music videos where it starts with a swing swinging alone then goes onto the artist singing, i would love to use this and then go on to the artist running and hugging, then again running off into the distance or even getting in a car. This will link to then a car location scene as described above. Again like the street location lighting and props will be difficult to include and change therefore we will shoot dependant on the weather and relevance of the look of the scene.
