After deciding on our genre and then a song, we came up with a name for our artist, which wasnt too common or modern, simply just to relate to the song choice and genre. However firstly we gathered a list of songs from the same artist and simular artists such as Whitney Houston and Celen Dion to clarify that 'Fast Car' was the song that we wanted to use, however we were defiinate on whcih genre we were basing the music video around was. The song and artist listed below all fit into the soft rock/folk genre also the old aspect of it all, including the simple video side of them which include flash back to the artist sitting and singing to a little action to then maybe a concert, mainly so the whole video is just like a mini film. We can identify certain lyrics and meanings in the song to then take forward and film objects and scenes in a visual link, this is an example of a common soft rock convention.
